Vaccine Update: 'Not Until Mid-2021,' Here's What WHO Said About Covid-19 Vaccination
Covid-19 Vaccine: Pointing at the clinical trial of vaccines a WHO spokesperson said that phase 3 must take longer because we need to see how truly protective the vaccine is and how safe it is.
Covid-19 Vaccine: Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the world has its hopes pinned to the undergoing vaccine trials, however, as per World Health Organisation (WHO) a widespread vaccinations against the pandemic until mid 2021.

A World Health Organization spokesperson has said that it does not expect widespread vaccinations against Covid-19 until mid-2021, a report in Reuters has stated.
"We are not expecting to see widespread vaccination until the middle of next year," spokeswoman Margaret Harris was quoted as telling the reporters in Geneva.
Pointing at the clinical trial of vaccines she said that phase 3 must take longer because we need to see how truly protective the vaccine is and we also need to see how safe it is.
She said that a lot of people have already been vaccinated and still it is not known whether the vaccine works. She said that at this stage we do not have the clear signal of whether or not it has the level of worthwhile efficacy and safety.
US vaccines distribution from November 1?
As per reports in US media, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has asked states to be ready to distribute a potential coronavirus vaccine by November 1.
In a letter of CDC Director Robert Redfield to state governors and health departments on August 27, Redfield said the McKesson Corporation and its subsidiaries would soon be applying for permits to build distribution sites. He asked governors to consider waiving requirements that would delay construction or opening the sites, said reports.
