India Corona Mutation Cases: Health Ministry has stated that four new cases have been found by NIV,Pune and one new case has been found in IGIB, Delhi.

India has so far registered 25 cases of the new mutant coronavirus strain after genome sequencing, the Ministry of Health has stated on Thursday. It has stated that four new cases have been found by NIV,Pune and one new case has been found in IGIB, Delhi. It said that all the 25 patients of new coronavirus strain are in physical isolation at health facilities. Meanwhile, with 21,821 new Coronavirus infections and 299 deaths in the past 24 hours, India's overall tally stood at 1,02,66,674 on Thursday, while the death toll touched 1,48,738, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. The new and more contagious Covid-19 strain, that has emerged in the UK sparking off serious panic in many countries including India, has managed to shift the focus from the regular Covid-19 cases.  . The new strain of Covid-19, code-named as B.1.1.7, has been widely tracked in the UK in the recent times. On Wednesday, Ministry of Health had said at least 20 of the infected people have been kept in isolation and the fellow travellers and close contacts were also being traced and quarantined. The UK flight came to NSCBI airport carrying 222 passengers of which 25 passengers did not their Covid-19 reports. They were taken to the nearest Covid testing centre and two of them were tested positive for Coronavirus. States where the new strain has been found: Karnataka: Karnataka Health Minister K. Sudhakar on Wednesday confirmed that seven cases of the new coronavirus strain have been reported in the state. Delhi: One new case has been found in IGIB, Delhi on Thursday, taking total number of new corona strain infected people to four. "Four patients have been found to be positive for the new strain of Coronavirus in Delhi. Flights have been banned and more passengers are not arriving. We are tracing & monitoring people who have already arrived," Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said. Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh:  Warangal in Telangana and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh have reported one positive case of new coronavirus strain each. Tamil Nadu too reported one such case. Maharashtra: Four cases of new corona strain have been found in Pune on Thursday, the health ministry stated.
