Red Dead Online Gets Spooky With New Freebies. But You’ve Only Got 48 Hours
To access the event, players need either the full Red Dead Redemption 2 game or the standalone Red Dead Online version.

Rockstar Games is dialling up the supernatural in Red Dead Online, and fans have just 48 hours to saddle up and claim a bundle of eerie new rewards. As part of a time-limited event, players can now jump into "Strange Tales of the West", a ghostly update inspired by the cult-classic Undead Nightmare DLC from the original Red Dead Redemption.
The event was unveiled on July 1 via Rockstar's official X account, promising a twisted turn for the frontier. “Embark upon four new adventures that require steely resolve and courage in the face of the odd, twisted, and downright supernatural,” the studio announced, teasing a darker spin on its beloved Western world.
