The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) has become a vital platform, not just for highlighting gaming talent, but also for shaping policies and infrastructure to advance India’s video game industry. This year’s event will address the need for establishing dedicated gaming hubs and expanding the nation’s incubator ecosystem, inspired by the success of Telangana's IMAGE Tower.
On the second day, policy roundtables will bring together state IT ministers and industry experts to discuss strategies for boosting local game development and forging international partnerships.
The conference will also feature a vast Expo with indie developers, board games, gaming companies, and country pavilions. Attendees can look forward to workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. A key highlight will be the IGDC Awards Night on November 14, introducing the ‘International Game Award’ with ten main categories and two special jury awards.
With its ambitious agenda, IGDC 2024 aims to establish India as a key player in global game development. Through discussions on policy, talent-building, and international alliances, the conference will lay a strong foundation for the future growth of India's gaming industry.
