BGMI Guide For Pros: Ace Your Gameplay In Close-Range Combat By Doing This

Is it possible to get agility in close-range combat without losing out on much precision? Shoot your worries, we're here to help improve your gameplay. Psst... A bonus tip awaits at the end.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) often offers real challenging situations for the players. Some of those situations are really tough to survive in. One such situation is close-range combat. Do you wonder how you can improve your gameplay when it comes to close-range fights? Say you have just landed and you've begun your loot and at that exact time you encounter an enemy who starts shooting at you point-blank. How often have you survived in such situations? Now, what if I tell you that I have a few pro-tips with which you can increase your chances of survival and score a Chicken Dinner at the end?

When you face the fiercest battle of the game i.e., close-range fights, then a technique known as 'Hip-Firing' comes to the rescue. But, having the fundamentals of Hip-Firing sorted is very important as even a split-second can make the difference between a Chicken Dinner and death. Hip firing is a technique which doesn't use the standard aim-down-sights method and it demands a lot of skill and understanding.

There are three fundamentals of Hip-Firing, let's understand each and every single one of them one by one.

Jiggle

When we engage in short-range combat, the first step that we have to take is to save our health. If we start running and jumping around then our opponent will have a harder time in fixing their aim on us. While doing this, don't forget that you also have to deal damage to your opponent which brings us to our next step.

Aim

When you are running around your enemy and trying to shoot them then the first thing that you have to understand is that you are trading your precision or aim against agility. While running, we must try to keep our aim as steady as possible. Try keeping it locked on your enemy so you don't lose out a lot on your precision while having agility.

Cross-Hair Placement

Turn your aim-assist on and try to keep that as close as possible to your opponent's head. Even if that shakes a bit still try keeping it as close as possible so that when the bullets spread then some of the bullets will still land on their heads. This way you will be able to deal the maximum damage to your opponent while avoiding much damage yourself. Pro-tip, turn on Gyroscope in your game settings so that the cross-hair placement will automatically adjust a bit as you jiggle.

Bonus tip: Explore to find the Goldilocks sensitivity - not too high to lose control and not too low to miss out on quick target tracking. Turn your ADS sensitivity to 1 per cent and see the magic. Your aim will in a way get locked which will further help you in improving your gameplay in close-combat settings.
