Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai SPIN-OFF: 'Piya Albela' actress Chaitrali Gupte ROPED in for the show

Actress Chaitrali Gupte who was last seen ‘Piyaa Albela’ has been roped in to play an important role in the spin-off.

New Delhi: Star Plus’ popular show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its simple and engaging storyline. The show starring Moshin Khan and Shivangi Joshi has recently completed 10 years and is doing extremely well on the TRP charts. Speculations are rife that the show’s producer Rajan Shahi is all set to bring YRKKH’s spin-off under his home banner Director's Kut Productions. We had earlier informed you that the makers have already approached ‘Beintehaa’ fame Harshad Arora and ‘Tu Suraj Main Sanjh Piyaji’ actress Rhea Sharma to play the leads in the show. As per the latest buzz, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s spin-off will focus on the younger generation. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that the show will see the kids in the main story growing up. The team is currently busy casting suitable actors for the show. Actress Chaitrali Gupte who was last seen ‘Piyaa Albela’ has been roped in to play an important role in the spin-off. The actress will play the character of the mother of a new family that will be brought in, the report said. “Chaitrali will have a crucial role to play,” a source told IWMBuzz.

Interestingly, 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' will join the likes of Ekta Kapoor's 'Kumkum Bhagya' and 'Gul Khan's 'Ishqbaaaz' as both the shows got their own spin-offs. KKB's spin-off 'Kundali Bhagya', which stars Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj Dhoopar, is a TRP-topper.
