'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' Actress Mohena Kumari Singh To Be A Sabyasachi Bride, Will Perform Ghoomar At Sangeet

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actress Mohena Kumari Singh will get married on October 14 in Haridwar.

New Delhi: Popular TV actress and dancer Mohena Kumari Singh won several hearts with her performance as Keerti in Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. The show starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan recently completed 3000 episodes. Mohena, who played the role of Mohsin’s on-screen sister Keerti Singhania in ‘YRKKH’, quit the show a few months back as she is getting married to her fiancé on October 14. Mohena also revealed that she would say leave acting post her wedding to Suyesh Rawat. The two got engaged in a grand ceremony in Goa on February 9, 2019. The engagement ceremony was attended by ‘Yeh Rishta’ actors including Shivangi and Mohsin. Mohena is a real-life princess as she belongs to the royal family of Rewa (Madhya Pradesh). The actress, who will get married in Haridwar, will don a Rajputi Poshak for her wedding.

A report in an entertainment portal suggested that Mohena Kumari Singh will turn into a Sabysachi bride as the ace designer will design her wedding dress. "It's true that I will be wearing a Rajputi Poshak for my wedding which is getting ready. However, I can't disclose the designer for now. I have grown up looking my grandmother and mother's royal wedding pictures and it has always excited me. In fact, not only for my wedding but for other functions too, I will be wearing royal outfits," Mohena told SpotboyE. The bride-to-be will perform the traditional Ghoomar dance at her sangeet ceremony. "My Sangeet will have ghoomar and I will be performing. It is not new for me as I have done it many times on my show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The only difference is that was supposed to be little filmy, but here we will perform it in a traditional way. That art of dance is performed in our culture. We will be having sangeet ceremony but differently. As we are not even allowed to see each other so we will be attending our respective sangeet ceremonies (laughs). We so much believe in all these rituals that I have not even seen his house till now," Mohena told the portal.

With less than a month to go for the wedding, the preparations are going on in full swing at Mohena’s house. The former ‘Dance India Dance’ contestant went to Amsterdam last month with her friends for her bachelorette trip.
