Year Ender 2022: Television Actors Who Made Their Bollywood And OTT Debut
Here is a list of TV actors who made their Bollywood/OTT debut this year.
New Delhi: Famous Bollywood actors, like Shah Rukh Khan, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Vidya Balan and Yami Gautam, made their way to Bollywood through television. With immense perseverance, struggle and luck, these TV stars managed to make their way into B-town and paved the way for other budding television actors too. Here is a list of TV actors who made their Bollywood/OTT debut this year:
Shantanu Maheshwari
If you have watched ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ the film which grossed over ₹209.77 crores worldwide, Shantanu played the role of Alia Bhatt’s love interest named Afsaan. Not only did the movie get nominated at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for ‘Best Film’ but Shantanu garnered a lot of praise for his acting too. Starting his career with ‘Dil Dosti Dance’ on Channel V, the actor is also a choreographer and dancer.
Rubina Dilaik
Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina made her Hindi film debut with ‘Ardh’ which was released on 10 June this year. The movie also has veteran stars like Rajpal Yadav, Kulbushan Kharbanda and Hiten Tejwani. The actress previously played roles of a bahu in tv serials like ‘Choti Bahu’ and ‘Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ and has always been applauded for her remarkable performances. Similarly, she has been complimented for her acting skills in ‘Ardh’ too.
Khushali Kumar
Fashion designer turned actress, Khushali has previously worked in the 2019 short film ‘Jeena Mushkil Hai Yaar’ and been on the TV show ‘Baba Ki Chowki’ but made her official Bollywood debut this year starring in ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner.’ She is also one of the protagonists in the upcoming film ‘Ghudchadi,’ wherein another tv actor-budding Bollywood actor Parth Samthaan will make his debut.
Aamna Sharif
Popular television actress who also did a couple of Bollywood films made her OTT debut this year in January with the crime fiction drama ‘Damaged 3’ streaming on Hungama Play and other partner networks.
