Vivian Dsena & Drashti Dhami To Team Up Again For 'Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon 2'?
Vivian Dsena & Drashti Dhami have been reportedly approached for new season of 'Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon'.
Mumbai: Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami managed to set the TV screens on fire with their scorching chemistry in ‘Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’. The romantic saga, which ran for two long years, enjoyed a significant fan following amongst the youngsters. Both Vivian and Drashti became household names after playing the respective roles of RK and Madhubala.
If a recent report in a leading daily is to be believed, the two popular TV stars might reunite for ‘Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon 2’. Yes, you read that right!
A source close to the project told Times Of India that the production house has approached Vivian and Drashti for the new season. The two sides are discussing remuneration.
‘Madhubala 2’ will have a new story but it will continue to be set against the backdrop of films like the first season. The makers are planning to go on floors in December 2021 and launch the series in first quarter of 2022, the source told TOI.
Unlike the first season, which aired on Colors channel, ‘Madhubala 2’ will beam on VOOT Select. It will be a 25-episode web series, the source added.
While Drashti and Vivian created ripples with their sizzling chemistry, gossip mills suggested that they didn’t share a good equation off-screen. Despite rumours of tiff, the duo always managed to impress the viewers with their performance.
Drashti Dhami’s Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, Drashti will make her digital debut with ‘The Empire’. The much-awaited web series will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on August 27, 2021.
Talking about Vivian, the handsome actor has been missing from the TV screens since he quit ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ in 2019. If he gives his nod to ‘Madhubala 2’, the series will mark his debut in the OTT space.
