Ankita and her spouse, Vicky Jain, entered the Bigg Boss house. One of the most memorable aspects of this season of Bigg Boss was their bond. The couple had many ups and downs in their relationship during their time there, and they were frequently criticised for their relationship. Before the grand finale, Vicky was ousted in a mid-week elimination. Following Arun Mahshettey's elimination from the top five contenders in the show, Ankita was also eliminated.
When Ankita found out she was being eliminated, she became a little distraught. Her relatives also started to feel let down. Her sister-in-law began crying. The host of Bigg Boss 17, Salman Khan, was equally taken aback because he had assumed Ankita would win the 17th season.
Expressing his disbelief on Ankita's elimination, Salman had said, "I am shocked. I thought that you would win the show but don't know what happened. The whole team is shocked....Ankita, your's journey has been the toughest journey in (history of) Bigg Boss."
Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui lifted the trophy with Abhishek Kumar as the runner-up.
