Tunisha Sharma Death: Co-Actor Sheezan Mohammed Khan Sent To Four-Day Police Custody
Television actress Tunisha Sharma’s co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan has been sent to four-day police custody by Vasai court in Mumbai on Sunday.
New Delhi: Television actress Tunisha Sharma’s co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan has been sent to four-day police custody by Vasai court in Mumbai on Sunday. The police had arrested Sheezan under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after a complaint was filed by Tunisha’s mother against her.
“Tunisha's mother filed a complaint, accused Sheezan was arrested and was produced in court where he was sent to 4-day judicial custody. Post-mortem report clearly specifies the cause of death of Tunisha as hanging,” Chandrakant Jadhav, ACP, Mumbai police told ANI.
Tunisha Sharma committed suicide by hanging herself with a crepe bandage which she had tied on her hand after she had sprained her hand a few days ago, ACP Chandrakant Jadhav told ANI.
He also revealed that Tunisha and Sheezan were in a relationship and had broken up 15 days ago.
“As of now, the investigation is underway. Accused Sheezan's & deceased's phones have been seized. There's no angle of any other affair, blackmailing or 'Love Jihad' as of now,” ANI quoted Chandrakant Jadhav, ACP, Mumbai police as saying.
Based on a complaint filed by Sharma's mother, the Valiv police had registered a case against Khan under Indian Penal Code section 306 (abetment of suicide) and arrested him. In her complaint, her mother claimed Sharma and Khan were in love and blamed the latter for her daughter's extreme step.
Sharma, who was shooting for "Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul" on Saturday, had gone to the washroom on the show's set. When she did not return for a long time, the door was broken down and she was found hanging inside. No suicide note was found at the spot.
Tunisha’s mortal remains were brought to the JJ Hospital, Naigon where her postmortem was conducted.
Tunisha Sharma's last rites will be performed on December 27 in Mira road area.
Tunisha started her career with 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap' and later featured in shows such as 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat', 'Gabbar Poonchwala', 'Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh', 'Internet Wala Love' and 'Ishq Subhan Allah'.
The young actress had featured in films like 'Fitoor', 'Baar Baar Dekho', 'Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh', and 'Dabangg 3'. She has also appeared in several music videos, notably 'Pyaar Ho Jaayega', 'Nainon Ka Ye Rona' and 'Tu Baithe Mere Samne'.
