Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Tapu Aka Raj Anadkat Is Not Leaving Show: Report

Raj Anadkat has reportedly resolved the issues with the production house of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Raj Anadkat, who plays the role of Tapu in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', has been hogging all the limelight ever since the rumours about his exit from the show surfaced on the internet. Speculations were rife that Raj wanted to quit the popular sitcom. The rumours spread like wildfire, leaving the ardent fans surprised. 

Raj To Continu As Tapu in Taarak Mehta

If a recent report in Times Of India is to be believed, Raj has resolved all the issues with production house. While gossip mills suggested that he had put down his papers, the report in the leading daily said that he will continue to feature in the show. Yes, you read that right!

A source close to the show told TOI that Anadkat was affected with rumours about his closeness with co-star Munmun Dutta and hence, he thought of bidding adieu to the show. He even communicated the same while talking to the makers; however, things have changed and he will be seen as Tapu, the report added.  

How Raj Reacted To Rumours Of Him Dating Munmun Dutta

The 24-year-old actor had shared a post on social media to slam the gossip mongers and put an end to the speculations about his love life. He described the rumours as 'Cooked up' stories while penning the post.

“To everyone, who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussions that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there please channelise your creativity somewhere else it will be helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense.”

Raj replaced Bhavya Gandhi as Dilip Joshi’s on-screen son Tapu in ‘Taarak Mehta’ in 2017. Gandhi had left the show in search of greener pastures. Raj managed to win the hearts of the viewers with his performance within a short span of time.
