Last year, the makers of 'Pavitra Rishta' unveiled an unreleased song from the show featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande.

Mumbai: For TV viewers, Sushant Singh Rajput will always remain their Manav. Fans shed tears when Manav and Archana separated and even threatened the producers to change the track as they didn't wish to se their favorite couple part ways. 

Sushant, who made a successful transition from the small screen to cinema, played the role of Manav in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. He quit the daily soap co-starring Ankita Lokhande in 2011 after essaying the lead role for two long years.  

Sushant and Ankita became household names after playing the protagonists in the hit ZEE TV show. They created ripples with their sizzling chemistry and managed to rake in good TRPs for the channel.  

Last year, the makers of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ unveiled an unreleased romantic song from the show titled ‘Jaisi Ho Waiso Raho’, a few days after Sushant’s death.  The video went viral on the internet in no time. In case you are yet to see the song, you can watch it right here! 

The soulful number focused on Manav and Archana’s never-ending love for each other. Talking about the show, ‘Pavitra Rishta’ ran for five long years on the small screen. 

Hiten Tejwani stepped into Sushant’s shoes after the latter quit the show. Rajput was also seen in shows like ‘Kis Des Mein Hain Mera Dil’, ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’ and ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’. 

June 14, 2021 will mark the one-year death anniversary of Rajput. Last year, he was found dead at his Mumbai apartment. His untimely demise left his family members, friends and fans teary-eyed. 

Several Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra mourned his demise and offered condolences to his family on social media. SSR’s death case hogged all the limelight in the second half of 2020 after three Central agencies started investigation in the matter.
