New Delhi: Popular TV actress Rajshree Thakur, who made her grand comeback to the small screen with 'Shaadi Mubarak', has has been replaced by the makers. Yes, you read that right! The show from the stable of Shashi Sumeet Productions was launched on Star Plus on August 24, 2020. Rajshree, fondly known for her role of Saloni opposite Sharad Kelkar in 'Saath Phere', played the character of Preeti in 'Shaadi Mubarak'. According to a report in a leading daily, the makers of the show have decided to replace Rajshree. The actress, while talking to the daily, said that she put down her papers two weeks ago. She added that she was unable to cope with the shooting schedule. "The real reason about my exit is that I was unable to cope up with the hectic schedule of working for 12 hours and 26 days in a month, especially having a three year old daughter at home, who otherwise was managing pretty well. But as a mother I couldn't convince myself to be away from her for so long," Rajshree told Times Of India. The 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap' actress also said that she never had a fight with the producers and ended things on a mutual note. The report further stated that the makers have roped in another popular actress to replace Rajshree. We are talking about Rati Pandey. The talented actress, who was last seen in 'Devi Adi Parashakti', will play the new Preeti in 'Shaadi Mubarak'.

Rati Pandey has worked in several hit shows including 'Hitler Didi', 'Porus', 'Mile Jab Hum Tum', to name a few.

Actors and actresses being replaced in shows are a common occurrence on Indian television. 'Shaadi Mubarak' is performing steadily at 7:30pm slot despite stiff competition from 'Choti Sarrdaarni'. The show also stars Manav Gohil and Rajeshwari Sachdev. It remains to be seen if Rajsree's exit will affect the show or not. Watch this space for more updates!
