Sanjivani 2: Mohnish Bahl Aka 'Dr. Shashank' Confirms His EXIT From The Show!

Popular actor Mohnish Bahl, who is known for playing the role of Dr. 'Shashank' in TV series 'Sanjivani', has opted out of its second season which is currently airing on Star Plus.

Star Plus' 'Sanjivani 2', featuring 'Ishqbaaaz' fame Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli in pivotal roles, went on-air in August last year amid huge buzz. However, the show failed to live-up to the expectations and couldn't fetch expected numbers on the TRP charts since beginning. 'Sanjivani 2' is being shifted to a new time slot soon and the makers are trying their level best to make the show more interesting and entertaining. While Aarti Bahl was recently replaced in the show due to change in story line, now another actor is set to exit 'Sanjivani 2'soon and he's none other than Mohnish Bahl.

Mohnish Bahl, who is seen playing the role of 'Dr. Shashank' in 'Sanjivani 2', is now following his wife Aarti Bahl's footsteps and has opted out from the Star Plus show. Sanjivani 2: Roma Bali To Enter As Surbhi Chandna Aka Dr. Ishaani's Aunt! Confirming the same, Mohnish informed a leading daily, "I decided to opt out and it was an amicable decision. I felt that I was not able to justify my role as Dr Shashank Gupta in the current season, as compared to the previous ones. I did not want to let down my viewers, so it was best to move on."

He further told TOI that, "When this show started in August 2019, my track was going well, but things changed later. I discussed it with the makers and we tried exploring new angles, but they didn’t materialise. An actor can creatively enhance his character if there is clarity in the track or he is given the script much in advance, which unfortunately was not the case." After Surbhi Chandna, 'Ishqbaaaz' Actor Nakuul Mehta To Romance Anya Singh In His Next Project! Mohnish Bahl has played the role of 'Dr. Shashank' in 'Sanjivani' first season as well as its spin-off 'Dill Mill Gayye'and his fans are surely going to miss seeing him in 'Sanjivani 2'.
