TV actor Nakuul Mehta, who was last seen in Star Plus show 'Ishqbaaaz' co-starring Surbhi Chandna', bags lead role in ZEE5's next based on Sumrit Shahi's novel 'Never Kiss Your Bestfriend'.

TV actor Nakuul Mehta became a household name after playing the lead role of Shivaay Singh Oberoi in Gul Khan's much-loved show 'Ishqbaaaz' opposite Surbhi Chandna.'Ishqbaaaz' was one of the most popular TV shows and viewers loved Nakuul & Surbhi's onscreen chemistry. The Star Plus show went off-air in March this year after a great run of two and a half years. Ever since then, the fans are missing seeing Nakuul Mehta onscreen. But here comes great news for the actor's fans. The talented actor has finally bagged his next project.

Nakuul Mehta, who is currently on a break from TV, is set to play the lead role in  popular OTT platform ZEE5's upcoming web-series. The web-series will be the screen adaptation of novelist Sumrit Shahi's bestseller novel 'Never Kiss Your Bestfriend'. The novel's story revolves around how a 'kiss' change dynamics between two best friends. After romancing Surbhi Chandna in 'Ishqbaaaz', Nakuul Mehta will now be seen opposite Anya Singh who made her Bollywood debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor's cousin Aadar Jain in 'Qaidi Band' in 2017.

On the career front, Nakuul Mehta made his acting debut with the film 'Haal-E-Dil' in which he played one of the lead roles alongside Adhyayan Suman and Amita Pathak. The film released in 2008 and was a box-office flop. He later made his TV debut with hit Star Plus show 'Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara' opposite Disha Parmar. However, 'Ishqbaaaz' established him as a top TV star. He is also expected to be a part of 'Satte Pe Satta' remake featuring Hrithik Roshan in lead.
