Meet grown-up 'Roop' aka Shashank Vyas' LEADING LADY post-leap on show!

Rashmi Sharma’s recently launched 'Colors' show 'Roop-Mard Ka Naya Swaroop', featuring Affan Khan, Yash Tonk and Mitali Nag in prominent roles, is all set for a time leap. The makers were in talks with various known names like Shashank Vyas, Shivin Narang and Shardul Pandit to play the grown-up 'Roop'. Reportedly, Shashank Vyas has finally bagged the role & is set to be back on 'Colors' after 'Balika Vadhu'. Now according to latest reports, the makers have also finalized the female lead & its none other than 'Ek Deewana Tha' actress Donal Bisht. She also spoke about her role to IANS & said that, "I will play Ishika who is a strong, lives in the modern era with modern thinking and with an attitude that a girl can also be an earning member of the house. But after leap, there will be a change in the concept & Roop will be seen as a ghar jamai. This was because no actor was ready to play an effeminate character. After which she played the parallel lead in in Ekta Kapoor's 'Kalash - Ek Vishwaas'. Donal shot to fame after playing the lead role in Sony TV's popular show 'Ek Deewaana Tha' co-starring Vikram Singh Chauhan and Namik Paul.
