Actress Giaa Manek, who was away from TV since five years, will be seen playing an interesting character in Reyhna Malhotra, Ankita Siwach and Garima Singh starrer 'Manmohini'.

TV actress Giaa Manek, who played the lead role of 'Gopi Bahu' in much-loved Star Plus show 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' opposite Mohammad Nazim, is away from TV since around five years now. Last seen in a guest appearance in SAB TV's popular show 'Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai', Giaa Manek's fans miss seeing her on small-screen. But here comes good news for her fans. The talented actress is finally making her TV comeback and has bagged an interesting and pivotal role in Zee TV's super-natural show 'Manmohini'. One might find a striking resemblance between Gopi and Gopika, but as the track shapes up, people will realise that the two are as different as chalk and cheese. While Gopi was docile and submissive, Gopika is fea rless and bindaas. To be honest, I didn’t know that my character is named Gopika till a day before the shoot commenced." Speaking about the same, she further told TOI that, "I got busy with projects in Indonesia. Gopi became such a huge brand that it became difficult to break away from that image. I kept getting similar offers until 'Jeannie Aur Juju' (2012-2014) came my way. I guess people had apprehensions about me portraying bold characters or indulging skin show. However, I am not averse to it, if that is the demand of the show." Later, she quit 'Saathiya' to be a part of Colors' 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5'. She then got positive feedback for playing the lead role in SAB TV's fantasy show 'Jeannie Aur Juju' opposite Ali Asgar.
