New Delhi: Considered as one of the biggest reality shows, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is back with its 12^th season. Ardent fans of the show are quite excited to see Amitabh Bachchan back on the hot seat. Ever since the first promo of the popular show was unveiled last month, fans have been eagerly waiting to know more details about the show. The first episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ will air on September 28 at 9 pm on Sony TV. The production house is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of Big B, contestants and crew members amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The contestants who have been chosen for fastest finger round have been put up in a hotel to complete their quarantine period before entering the sets of ‘KBC12’. The number of contestants for ‘fastest finger first’ has also been reduced to 8 as the seats need to be at a distance from each other keeping in mind the social-distancing norm. There will be no live audience on the show this season and the sitting area has also been retained. However, the contestants can bring along one family member. The new season of ‘KBC’ emphasizes on turning the ‘setbacks’ into ‘comebacks’. The promo of the show featured a businessman, who suffered a big loss but is determined to start everything from the scratch with a winning amount of Rs 1,000.

The lifeline ‘Audience Poll’ will be replaced by ‘Video-a-friend’. Also, starting from registrations to auditions, everything in the show has been conducted online this time. The host of the show Amitabh Bachchan started shooting from September 7, 2020. Recently, Sony TV shared a video revealing how ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ has adapted to the changes owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
