Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: THESE Three Popular TV Stars In Race To REPLACE Parth Samthaan As New Anurag Basu?

Parth Samthaan, who plays the role of Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor's 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2', has reportedly quit the show.

Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ has become the talk of the town ever since the news of Parth Samthaan quitting the show hit the internet. Parth, who plays the role of Anurag Basu opposite Erica Fernandes, has reportedly decided to leave the show. The TV heartthrob wants to focus on his health and upcoming projects and hence, he has decided to bid adieu to the show after a two-year long journey. ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2’: Star Plus Unhappy With Parth Samthaan’s Behaviour? Speculations were rife that Erica Fernandes aka Prerna would also quit the show. However, the actress has squashed the rumours while talking to a leading daily. She confirmed that she is not leaving the romantic saga. According to a report in an entertainment portal, three actors are in contention to replace Parth Samthaan as the new Anurag Basu. Pearl V Puri, Barun Sobti and Vivek Dahiya are in the race to step into Parth’s shoes. The production house is yet to make any official announcement. "Production might consider Barun Sobti, Pearl V Puri or Vivek Dahiya among others to step in Parth's shoes. All the mentioned actors are young and with Anurag's character taking a full swing after a point in the story, production is still mulling over their options," a source told Pinkvilla. Divyanka Tripathi’s husband Vivek Dahiya, who was last seen in ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’, has denied the rumours of him replacing Parth. The ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actor, while talking to Zoom, said, "No, that’s not true."

A report in another entertainment portal suggested that Pearl V Puri will play the new male lead in ‘Kasautii 2’. The ‘Naagin 3’ actor is currently enjoying a personal trip in Mussoorie. "Makers are still trying to hold back Parth and discussions are on between both the parties. They haven't approached any actor to play his part yet," a source told SpotboyE.

Barun Sobti, who was last seen on the small screen in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3’, is yet to react to the rumours.
