Before Parth Samthaan, THIS 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan' Actor Was Set To Play Manik's Role In The Show!

While Parth Samthaan was in talks with MTV for another show, 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan' makers initially zeroed upon Utkarsh Gupta for Manik's role in the show.

New Delhi: MTV's 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan', featuring Parth Samthaan & Niti Taylor in lead roles, went on-air in 2014 and turned out to be one of the most loved & successful youth shows. Fans used to love Parth & Niti aka Manik & Nandini's chemistry and call them 'Manan' till today. It has been already out that the channel first wanted Krissan Barretto to play Nandini's role in 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan'. However, did you know that Parth too wasn't the first choice for Manik's character? Yes, you read that right!

Utkarsh Gupta, who played the role of Dhruv in 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan', was the first choice for Manik's role. 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan' Actress Niti Taylor Gets Engaged To Beau Parikshit Bawa; Here Are Engagement PICS & VIDEOS! Revealing the same, Vikas Gupta told an entertainment portal that, "We initially zeroed upon Utkarsh as Manik. However, later we realised that he would fit the bill as Dhruv in the show and hence the shuffle happened." Speaking further about the show, he told Tellychakkar that, "I had pitched this show to almost every channel and no-one trusted the show. When I became the head of MTV’s programming team, I brought the show on the channel as I had full faith in it."

On a related note, 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan' ended in December 2015 after airing two seasons and is still very popular among fans. In 2018, 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan' made a comeback with the third season as a web-series with Parth & Niti reprising their roles of Manik & Nandini. 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan 3' is available on popular OTT platform Voot.
