Jennifer Mistry has strongly criticised the makers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for allegedly not supporting Gurucharan Singh during his financial struggles. In a recent interview with Zoom, Mistry spoke about Gurucharan's over Rs 1 crore debt and shared her experience when he once sought her help.

“Gurucharan Singh had once asked me to help him with Rs 1 lakh to clear his credit card dues. I agreed to give it to him, but he later told me that he didn’t want it right now. He told me, ‘I will let you know once I need it.’ Later, he didn’t call me. After a few days, he asked me for Rs 17 lakh. Unfortunately, I had to use that Rs 1 lakh for my personal due to some financial crunch. I had also told him that I didn’t have this much amount. I couldn’t help him," she said.

Jennifer Mistry also criticised the makers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for not offering help to Gurucharan Singh during his tough times. The actor said, “Woh log kisike nahi hai. Mere case mein unhone mere liye stand nahi liya toh uske liye kya lenge. Jab meri behen ki death hui thi last year, tabhi kisine mujhe call bhi nahi kiya. They will never help him."

About Gurucharan Singh

This comes after Gurucharan Singh’s close friend, Bhakti Soni, shared that he is facing a loan repayment of Rs 1.5 crore and is receiving no help from anyone, including his family, during this tough time.

Gurucharan played Roshan in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' until 2012 but returned in 2013 due to his fans' demand. He finally left the show in 2020 when Balwinder Singh Suri replaced him.
