JAB THEY MET: Vivek Dahiya talks about his marriage preparation, how he fell in love with Divyanka and how he got a free acting mentor!

New Delhi: Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are getting married in a month now and the two of them look really adorable together. As much as they are busy in their respective shows, they are struggling to find time with each other and for each other. In a candid chat, Vivek told us, “As the dates are coming closer, we don’t get time for each other at all. We are mostly shooting and in between when there are breaks, we try to have lunch together. Only when we are lucky and the lunch time on our respective sets matches, we can meet each other and then also we only discuss about the marriage preparation, our designer, venue, various other bookings etc.” For those who are not aware, Vivek is doing 'Yeh  Hai Mohabbatein' along with fiancé Divyanka Tripathi and meanwhile he is all set to surprise the audiences by playing lead in a love story with a supernatural touch. The show is called Kawach.. Kaali Shaktiyon Se and opposite to Vivek, Mona Singh and Mehack Chahal are playing the lead.   So does that mean Vivek would be quitting Yeh Hai Mohabbatein? “Not at all. I don’t want to part with the show. YHM has been quite lucky for me. This show has given me my life partner. Also, it is one show that gave me a platform to be launched as an established actor. I will be playing both the roles simultaneously,” Vivek said.   Directors of the show have sorted the dates out and Vivek is happily doing both the shows with excitement. And he is also managing his wedding preparations side by side without feeling burdened.   This is what he had to say. “I feel more responsible. Kawach is a huge responsibility on my shoulder as it’s also by a leading channel and I have been given a chance so I have to do justice to my role.” Now that there is very less time left for his marriage to Divyanka, everyone is anxiously waiting for updates from both of them. But do you know how it all started? Vivek himself speaks up. “It is not a love marriage. It is an arranged affair. Well, we met through a common friend, our co-actor Pankaj who plays Bala in YHM. He was on a lookout for Divyanka and he wanted to cast the real hero for her in real life. He approached me regarding the same. I was like are you mad? He said Divyanka is looking for a husband not a hero. Then I gave it a thought and discussed with my parents. Parents reaction was like she looks good on TV but you must talk to her and check your compatibility with her. It was then when I met her and started talking to her. When she asked her parents, they were also like, he looks good on screen as an ACP but you see for yourself in real life. Both of us kept meeting and things fell into place so easily. It was all so smooth and then her birthday came and I proposed her right in front of her family without even telling my family.”   Vivek actually felt that he should take the plunge then and there and he said to himself, “Arey acchi ladki mil rahi hai. Fir nahi milegi. Shaadi karke nakki karte hain.” That was frank Vivek.   And he's got a mentor in his home itself He feels that jab ghar me itna established actor ho to baahar kya jaana?(if there’s an established actor at home, why do we go to someone else for acting tips?) Divyanka has 10 years of experience and I really value and cherish that. She keeps polishing me and is very positive about everything. Even if I don’t do a shot nicely, she is like ‘maybe you can do it that way?’ who needs acting classes if you are getting a mentor for free?
