Producer Siddharth Malhotra has quashed the rumours of Surbhi Chandna and Nakuul Mehta being a part of the remake of 'Sanjivani' on Star Plus.

New Delhi: Popular TV actors Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna won several hearts with their performances in Star Plus’ ‘Ishqbaaaz’. Fans simply loved their sizzling chemistry in the show and they were left disappointed when Surbhi had to bid adieu to ‘Ishqbaaaz’ post the generation leap. Speculations are rife that the ‘Qubool Hai’ actress will star in the remake of ‘Sanjivani’ on the same channel. As per the latest buzz, the channel might also rope in Nakuul for the show keeping in mind his popularity.

Many fans jumped in joy when the news of Surbhi and Nakuul starring in the remake of ‘Sanjivani’ hit the internet. It seems the fans have to wait for some time before seeing the two actors together once again. Producer Siddharth Malhotra has quashed the rumours while replying to an entertainment portal on Twitter. ‘’Guys this is absolutely untrue and I’m sure this is a lovely pair but would appreciate that we put an end to all this conjecture,’’ the ‘Hichki’ director wrote on the micro-blogging site. Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna played the respective roles of Shivaay and Anika. The fans fondly called them ‘ShivIka’ and the duo won several Best Jodi awards for their chemistry. Post the generation leap in ‘Ishqbaaaz’, Manjiri Pupala entered the show as the female lead. However, the makers introduced Niti Taylor as the new female lead after the ratings didn’t show any improvement. ‘Ishqbaaaz’ will now air its last episode on March 15 and the cast and crew will wrap up the shooting by next week.
