After filing for divorce, the court issued them a directive to appear on July 25 in the Bandra Family Court. While talking to leading daily Times of India, the TV actress said, “Rather than dragging on the matter in court, Shaleen and I have chosen to do it mutually. The court visits have been really depressing. After several meetings with (and without) lawyers and discussing many clauses keeping the future of the child in mind, we have reached a conclusion that divorce is best for both of us.” Last year the couple was in news when Daljeet accused Shaleen of harassing and torturing her of dowry. However, the allegations have been denied by the actor. Shaleen and Daljeet met five years back on the sets of ‘Kulvadhu’ and even won couple celebrity show 'Nach Baliye 4'.
