Happy to be part of 'Gangaa': Shakti Anand

Mumbai: Actor Shakti Anand will be seen playing the role of a father in TV show "Gangaa", and says he has no qualms about it. "Gangaa' is a beautiful concept and I am happy to be part of the show. My character Shiv is very straight-forward and a no-nonsense guy. I will be playing father to a 10-year-old child, who refuses to accept anyone in the place of his deceased wife," Shakti said in a statement. He added: "It's interesting then to see how Gangaa will break the barriers and make an effort to win Shiv's confidence." "Gangaa" started off as a story of a child widow and her hardships. The &TV show now talks about how she falls in love. Aditi Sharma, who essays the role of Gangaa, said: "The show is very close to my heart, and I am enjoying every bit of it. From light cotton saris with my hair open I will now graduate to silks with embroidery blouses and tied up hair. The story graph has been steady and it's a meaningful plot of Gangaa's journey."
