'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' fame Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Shanawaz Shaikh have become parents to a baby boy. The couple embraced parenthood on December 18 as they welcomed their first born on Wednesday and shared the announcement with their fans on social media. On Thursday, Devoleena shared the news of thea birth of their baby boy through a video.

Sharing the video, Devoleena wrote, "Thrilled to announce the arrival of our bundle of joy, our baby boy on December 18.” The caption of the video said, "Hello world! Our little angel BOY is here...18/12/2024 (sic).”

Soon after Devoleena made the formal announcement, her fans and colleagues from the industry dropped congratulatory messages with many dropping eye-heart and heart emojis.

Earlier, in June, Devoleena reacted to her pregnancy rumours and said, "Many people have been messaging me for a long time regarding my pregnancy, creating news about it. I am sure that whenever I feel like sharing such news with you all, I will do it myself. For now, please do not bother me."

However, later in August, Devoleena announced her pregnancy with a heartfelt post and photos from a panchamrit ritual, observed by many pregnant women.

About Devoleena and Shanawaz

Devoleena and Shanawaz married each other in December 2022 in a court wedding in Lonavala with only close friends in attendance. However, the actress faced quite some backlash over her inter-faith wedding. 

Devoleena is best known for playing the role of Gopi Modi in TV's longest running show 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya'. Devoleena Bhattacharjee was later seen in Salman Khan's reality show, 'Bigg Boss 13', which is to date considered as one of the most successful seasons of the show.

Devoleena also entered as a proxy for Eijas Khan in 'Bigg Boss 14' and as a wildcard entry in 'Bigg Boss 15' but could not win any of the seasons.
