Dalljiet Kaur's Estranged Husband Nikhil Patel Threatens Legal Action: 'This Is For Cheap Media Attention'

Amid divorce rumours between Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel, Nikhil has now stated that he will not tolerate any further harassment from Dalljiet and has issued a 'written cease and desist letter'.

TV actor Dalljiet Kaur married Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel in March 2023. Their separation rumours started in February 2024 after they unfollowed each other and deleted each other's pictures on Instagram. Recently the actor hinted that Nikhil cheated on her. Nikhil has now stated that he will not tolerate any further harassment from her and has issued a 'written cease and desist letter'.

Nikhil on taking action against Dalljiet

In an interview with ETimes, Nikhil said that his legal team would take "the sternest legal action available against Dalljiet should she continue with her unlawful actions."

“As a normal citizen of the world, it is very disturbing to see how the gaps in online protection laws, both in India and globally, can, and are, often exploited by those who choose to gain cheap media attention through careless actions that place innocent children and women at risk,” he was quoted as saying by ETimes.

Nikhil on the wedding video shared by Dallljiet

Referring to the wedding video that Dalljiet shared on Instagram recently and deleted soon after, Nikhil said, "Sharing pictures and video footage without consent of those involved, particularly in the case of children, who are always a vulnerable group in society and who always require protection of the law, is illegal and negligent.”

Patel also mentioned that his team has reached out to Dalljiet, asking her to collect her remaining belongings from his home in Kenya by June, or else they will be donated to charity. He stated that he has no obligation to store them and has requested several times for her to collect them.

Nikhil on cheating allegations

Previously, Patel addressed the extramarital affair allegations and confirmed his split from Dalljiet in another interview with ETimes. He explained, “In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realized that the foundation of our blended family wasn't as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Though it held cultural significance, it was not legally binding. This ceremony was intended to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya.”

Dalljiet sparked cheating speculations after she posted a poll on her Instagram Stories, asking, "What's your thought on extramarital affairs? Who is to be blamed?" with options like 'The girl,' 'The husband,' and 'The wife'.
