Dalljiet Kaur Says Shalin Bhanot Has Not Contacted Their Son Jaydon Even Once In A Year: 'That’s His Karma'
Dalljiet Kaur recently addressed her relationship with her ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, with whom she shares a son, Jaydon. She said that Shalin has not contacted their son for over a year.
Dalljiet Kaur, who tied the knot with Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel in March 2023, has spoken openly about the struggles she’s faced in her marriage. In a new interview, Dalljiet also addressed her relationship with her ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, with whom she shares a son, Jaydon. She said that Shalin has not contacted their son for over a year and has shown no interest in finding out why she and Jaydon returned from Kenya.

During her conversation with Galatta India, Dalljiet shared, “With my ex, there has been zero communication for about a year, or maybe more. He hasn’t really reached out so I don’t have any communication. I tried to be amicable with him for nine years. Every time he would ask to meet Jaydon, I would never refuse. Very happily I made them meet because I thought it was good for Jaydon. I was very selfish like that. I was more than happy him meeting Jaydon.”
Dalljiet expressed her surprise at Shalin’s lack of concern about the events in Kenya that led to her and Jaydon’s return to India. She questioned why he hadn't made any effort to check on their son, saying, “You don’t want to check on your son? You don’t want to know what happened from the horse’s mouth? You have my number. The world wants to know. You don’t want to know? But that’s his karma.”
Dalljiet says Shalin has a pattern of "disappearing"
Dalljiet said that she had not received “a single message” from him. She explained that Shalin had a pattern of occasionally reaching out, and she had always made sure he had opportunities to meet Jaydon. She even invited him to visit Kenya, meet Nikhil, and spend time with them, but according to Dalljiet, he expressed interest and then "disappeared."
Dalljiet and Shalin got married in 2009 and separated in 2015. In 2023, she remarried Nikhil Patel, but the couple is currently in the process of separating.
