Chum Darang on racism
Chum Darang, who comes from Arunachal Pradesh, has actively raised awareness about the challenges her community faces, including casual racism and stereotyping.
Before joining the show, Chum spoke to IANS about how she wants people to understand her background and the experiences that shape her perspective.
She said, "I thought if they'll watch me in the show, they'll be curious to know more about me, and my motive was for people to understand that there is a very beautiful place called Arunachal Pradesh in the east, where the sun rises first in India. I wanted them to know that. So that was my motive. For people to know more about me and my home state."
Meanwhile, in another promo before the show started, Shehzada gets into a heated argument with fellow contestant Vivian Dsena. The clash begins when Vivian says that lasting stardom comes from years of hard work, while Shehzada disagrees, leading to a debate about how quickly fame can fade today.
