Jaan's Father Kumar Sanu Opens On Up His Son's Bigg Boss Controversy

Playback singer Kumar Sanu, while talking to a leading daily, opened up about the controversy surrounding his son Jaan. He said that he asked Jaan to not participate in the popular reality show due to its controversial nature. He added that he is in touch with his ex wife Rita Bhattacharya and his three sons but reiterated that they take their own decisions. The 'King of Melody' condemned Jaan's remark and said that it was wrong on his part to speak about the language. He called Mumbai his 'Yashoda Maa' and said that the city has provided him livelihood, name and fame. "Jaan ne anjaane mein Marathi bhasha ke kiye bola and woh sarasar galat hai. I sincerely believe that if Bengal is my Devki Maa who has given birth to me, Mumbai is my Yashoda Maa who has given me my livelihood, mujhe rozi-roti di, man-samman diya. Mai Maa Mumba Devi mein aastha rakha hu kyuki mera manna hai yaha woh hi tik sakta hai jisko Maa Mumba Devi aashirwaad deti hai. Any artiste of any stature from this place should not talk anything bad at all about Mumbai because this city has given so much to everyone. Mumbai ne bahoto ki jindagi banayi hai," Kumar Sanu told Bombay Times. Kumar Sanu and Rita Bhattacharya, who are parents to three sons, got divorced in 1994.
