Bigg Boss 14: Jaan Kumar Sanu's mother Rita Bhattacharya reacted to her son's 'anti-Marathi' remark which took a political turn and created controversy.

Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss 14' landed in trouble after the Shiv Sena and the MNS expressed their displeasure over the show's contestant Jaan Kumar Sanu's comments during Tuesday's (October 27) episode. The two political parties threatened to stop the shoot of the popular reality show if the makers didn't issue an apology. Colors channel apologized for Jaan's 'objectionable' comments and promised to remove the segment from the future broadcasts of the show. We value the audience and the patronage of the Marathi speaking audience and respect all languages of India in the same manner,” Colors TV said in its letter.

Jaan Kumar Sanu's Mother REACTS To His Remark & MNS Threat

MNS film workers’ union chief Ameya Khopkar threatened to take action against Jaan Kumar Sanu for 'disrespecting' Marathi language. Jaan's mother Rita Bhattacharya, while talking to an entertainment portal, has finally reacted to the controversy. She said that her family members have been staying in Maharashtra since the past 35 years and they can never insult the state or Marathi language. Jaan's mother also said that her family is disturbed because of the controversy surrounding her son. In yesterday's episode, when Rahul, Nikki and Jaan were together in the red zone that time Rahul and Nikki were communicating something in Marathi which my son didn't understand, so in return he told Nikki 'Aap Marathi mein baat mat karo' kyunki use laga they are talking something against him. I just want them to see the situation and then come to a conclusion. This state has given Jaan's father Kumar Sanu so much love and respect. My family and I are really disturbed because of such things," Rita told SpotboyE.

Jaan Kumar Sanu's 'Anti-Marathi' Remark Stirs Controversy; Here's What He Said!

Jaan reportedly asked Nikki Tamboli and Rahul Vaidya to not speak in Marathi in the 'Bigg Boss 14' house. He allegedly told Nikki to not speak in Marathi in front of him as he gets irritated with it. For the uninitiated, the contestants are supposed communicate with each others in Hindi. Housemates are often given reminders or punished for speaking in any language other than Hindi. Last year, Bigg Boss pointed Rashami Desai and Shefali Jariwala when they were speaking in their mother tongue Gujarati.

The makers of the show called Jaan Kumar Sanu to the confession room and asked him to apologise for his remark. Bigg Boss  The singer issued an apology for hurting the sentiments of the viewers and said that he had no intention to do so.
