New Delhi: The biggest reality show on Indian television is all set to return next month. There’s no prize for guessing that we are talking about ‘Bigg Boss 14’. The new season of the popular reality show has been making waves ever since the first teaser was released last month. ‘Bigg Boss 13’ proved to be a blockbuster affair as it managed to become the talk of the town. The last season had set the TRP charts on fire despite late night slot. ‘Bigg Boss 13’ featured prominent telly names including Sidharth Shukla, Rashami Desai, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Arti Singh. The show enjoyed a significant fan following and was extended on popular demand. ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee grabbed several eyeballs, all thanks to her friendship with Rashami and chemistry with Sidharth. Her stint was cut short in the show due to her back injury. If a recent grapevine is to be believed, original Gopia bahu aka Gia Manek might feature in ‘Bigg Boss 14’. Yes, you read that right! According to a report in India Today, Gia will get locked inside the ‘BB 14’ house. Gia played the role of Gopi bahu for two long years before she was replaced by Devoleena. The production house and the channel replaced Gia after she decided to participate in ‘Jhalak Dikhala Jaa’, which aired on a rival channel.

Interestingly, Star Plus will soon launch the second season of ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’. The new season will star Sneha Jain and Harsh Nagar in the respective roles of Gehna and Anant. Talking about ‘Bigg Boss 14’, the show will go on air from October 3 on Colors channel. Several celebs including Vivian Dsena, Jasmin Bhasin, Karan Patel, Pavitra Punia have been reportedly approached for the show. The ‘BB 14’ contestants will have to stay under quarantine for 11 days before entering the ‘Bigg Boss 2020’ house. They will also undergo a COVID-19 test twice as a precautionary measure.
