As Deepak Thakur returned home, hundreds of people gathered together to welcome the 'Bigg Boss 12' finalist in his hometown.

The twelfth season of India's biggest reality show 'Bigg Boss', which was hosted by Salman Khan, finally came to an end recently, on 30th December, with TV actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim declared as the winner beating former cricketer S. Sreesanth. The TV actress, who became a household name as Simar after popular Colors show 'Sasural Simar Ka', walked away with the winner's trophy and prize money of Rs. 30 lakh. Whereas the second runner-up of 'Bigg Boss 12', commoner Deepak Thakur too played smartly and quit the game for Rs. 20 lakh. Post grand finale, Deepak Thakur went back to his hometown Athar in Muzzafarpur, Bihar where he received a grand welcome.
