BIGG BOSS 12 makes a MAJOR CHANGE in the show after 4 years

New Delhi: The countdown for Bigg Boss 12 has already started and fans are super excited to see their favourite reality show back on your TV screens. Salman Khan will once again don the hat of the host for the twelfth season of Bigg Boss. The makers launched BB 12 in a grand manner in Goa and also revealed the time slot for the show. Bigg Boss 12 was originally scheduled to air on weekdays at 10.30pm and on weekends at 9pm. However, in a major turn of events, the channel airing the show has decided to change the time slot. Bigg Boss 12 will now air at 9pm on all the days. Colors TV CEO Raj Nayak took to Twitter to share the news with the fans.

The 9-10 pm slot on Colors is currently occupied by Roop- Mard Ka Naya Swaroop and Bepannaah and both the shows are expected to get a new time slot, leading to major rescheduling on the channel.

Bigg Boss is airing at 9pm after a gap of four years as the last three season used to beam at 10.30pm on weekdays. The controversial realty show will compete with the likes of Kaun Banega Crorepati 10 (Sony TV), Aladdin Naam To Suna Hoga (Sony SAB), Krishna Chali London ( Star Plus) and the slot leader Kumkum Bhagya ( Zee TV).

Speculations are rife that the channel took the decision after monitoring the TRPs of its current shows. The 9pm slot has heated up after the launch of Aladdin and KBC 10 and the channel doesn't wish to lag behind in the ratings race.

The last season of Bigg Boss proved to be a major hit and the channel  has now plans to take on Amitabh Bachchan's KBC head on. This clearly means, we are going to get Big Big B vs Salman once again on the small screen. Although, the 'Bharat' actor is usually not seen in the weekday episodes of Bigg Boss, we never know when he makes an appearance.
