Aly Gony On Asim Riaz's Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 Elimination: 'They Chose To Provoke Him'
Actor Aly Goni defended Asim Riaz on his elimination from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’. Aly criticised some of the show's contestants.
Asim Riaz’s elimination from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’ became a talking point with many celebrities slamming him for his behaviour towards Rohit Shetty. His co-contestant Shilpa Shinde came out in his support and said that Asim was provoked by other contestants. Now actor Aly Goni also spoke about Asim’s elimination, during a podcast with Bharti Singh. Aly criticised some of the show's contestants, including what seemed like indirect jabs at Shalin Bhanot and Abhishek Kumar.
Aly criticises other Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 contestants
Aly discussed the situation, stating, "People have been saying 50 things about Asim for what he did on KKK14. But that is his nature; he didn’t like a certain thing, and he reacted—who are people to judge? It’s between him and the channel; they ousted him for his action, and it’s done. I specifically watched that episode, and while a lot might have happened, some of it might have been edited out. If someone gets that angry, they must have been provoked to that level. If the other contestants wanted, things could have calmed down, but they chose to provoke him instead. They seemed to forget that this wasn’t Bigg Boss.”
Aly recalls his experience of the show
Reflecting on his own experience with Khatron Ke Khiladi, Aly recalled a previous season where tension arose between Aditya Narayan and Bharti Singh's husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa. He said, “There were issues at that time as well, but we, as contestants, would step in and resolve them. Eventually, Aditya and Haarsh became good friends.”
Bharti Singh chimed in, agreeing with Aly, “I feel everybody tries to make every reality show like Bigg Boss by fighting.”
Aly admits Asim is aggressive
Aly also acknowledged that Asim has a bit of an aggressive side, adding, “I don’t know if he behaved badly with Rohit sir or not. If he did, that was wrong. But it was the responsibility of the other contestants to de-escalate the situation. Instead, they chose to confront him, trying to play the hero, which isn’t fair. They all ganged up on Asim. I believe Asim might have felt that he would look foolish on TV, and to avoid that, he became aggressive.”
The Bigg Boss 13 runner-up had an altercation with the contestants, calling them losers, and also argued with the host, Rohit Shetty which led to his expulsion.
