18 Crew Members Of Madhuri Dixit Nene’s Show ‘Dance Deewane’ Test COVID-19 Positive

Colors Channel revealed in a statement that some members of the reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ have contracted COVID-19.

New Delhi: COVID-19 cases are on a surge these days. As days as passing by, the cases are increasing. Many known personalities from the Entertainment industry including Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Kartik Aaryan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Manoj Bajpayee and many others have tested positive for COVID-19.

Now, according to a report of PTI, 18 crew members of the dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ have tested positive for coronavirus.

Colors Channel revealed in a statement that some members of the reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ have contracted COVID-19. The channel said that the affected have been provided with immediate medical assistance and are currently under quarantine. Elaborating on their safety measures, the channel further revealed that the sets and the adjoining areas have been thoroughly sanitised.

The statement read, “Some crew members associated with our show 'Dance Deewane' have tested positive for COVID-19. They have been immediately provided with medical assistance and are currently placed under quarantine. All the necessary safety procedures have been undertaken and the sets and adjoining areas have been thoroughly sanitized. We are constantly vigilant about the safety and health of our crew members and we will continue to take all precautions as per the stipulated guidelines.”

Ashok Dubey, General Secretary, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), told PTI, “They have a provision of undergoing COVID-19 test every week before starting the shoot. If someone tests positive, then they are home quarantined and another member replaces them. If the result is negative, only then the shooting starts. Two days ago, 18 unit members tested positive for COVID-19. They were asked to undergo home quarantine and were replaced with others after which the shoot was completed.”

Ashok Dubey further revealed that Madhuri Dixit, who is the judge of the show is fine. Other judges are also fine, according to Dubey.

“Madhuri and other judges are all fine. The crew members who have tested positive for COVID-19 include set workers, lightmen, camera attendants, assistant directors, assistant art directors, few contestants too, among others”, said Ashok Dubey to PTI.

Dubey added that ‘Dance Deewane’ has another shoot planned for April 5, which will go ahead as per the schedule.

‘Dance Deewane’ started airing its third season on Colors TV on February 27.
