‘Chehre’ Release Postponed Amid Rising COVID-19 Cases

New Delhi: Starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles, ‘Chehre’ is an upcoming mystery thriller film whose plot revolves around an 80-year-old man with a strong liking for a real-life game with his group of friends.
The film was earlier slated to hit the screens on April 9, 2021. But keeping in mind the rising number of COVID-19 cases with each passing day, the makers have decided to postpone the release date of ‘Chehre’. The new release date of this upcoming movie will be announced soon.

Elaborating on the decision to postpone the film, Producer Anand Pandit says, "Considering the situation and safety of our audiences and fans which is of utmost importance to us, we have decided to postpone our film Chehre. The team has taken immense efforts to make it a great cinematic experience and we are looking forward to our audiences coming to the theatres safely."
He further added, “I have always lived by the maxim of 'safety first'. Given the rising number of COVID cases, it is only right that we delay the release of 'Chehre'. Audiences have already showered the trailer with a lot of love and every member associated with 'Chehre' wants cinema lovers to watch it on 70 mm. We are ready to wait for the right time and to ensure our audiences remain safe.”
Directed by Rumi Jafry, ‘Chehre’ stars an ensemble cast of Krystle D'Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav.
