Sreeleela Addresses Rumours Of Being Paid Less Than Samantha Ruth Prabhu For 'Pushpa 2' Item Song 'Kissik'

During a recent media interaction, Sreeleela explained her reasons for choosing to be part of the song 'Kissik' from 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.

New Delhi: Rumours have been circulating about actress Sreeleela's payment for the item song ‘Kissik’ in ‘Pushpa 2’, in which she replaces Samantha Ruth Prabhu's famous appearance. Sreeleela finally addressed the rumours in a press conference. The first reaction to ‘Kissik’ has been divided, with many fans still comparing it to ‘Oo Antava’ from ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which became a huge smash and stayed on the charts for weeks.

Sreeleela was questioned at a press conference for her next film ‘Robinhood’ over her choice to appear in the item song. The actress said, "The song itself will justify my choice. It’s not your typical item song. There’s a strong narrative reason behind it, which will become clear when the movie releases."

According to certain rumours, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was reportedly paid Rs 5 crore for ‘Oo Antava’, whereas Sreeleela got just Rs 2 crore. However, the actress wasted no time putting an end to the rumours. "We haven't even discussed the remuneration with the producers yet," Sreeleela said with a hint of humour, denying the speculations.

Thanks to Sreeleela's dance performance and the explosive rhythms of Devi Sri Prasad's ‘Kissik’, the song has already become a talking topic. The single managed to make an impression, reaching an astounding 17.7 million views in only 12 hours after its release.
