Protestors Vandalise Allu Arjun's Residence In Hyderabad, Eight Arrested

A group of individuals, claiming to be members of Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), staged a protest at Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Sunday.

A group of individuals, claiming to be members of Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), staged a protest at Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Sunday. The demonstrators vandalised flower pots and other items within the property, demanding justice for the victim of a recent stampede incident.

Protest outside Allu Arjun's house

Raising slogans against the National Award-winning actor, the protesters sought compensation for the family of the 35-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in a stampede at a cinema hall earlier this month. The incident occurred during the premiere of Arjun’s highly anticipated film, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

According to PTI, a placard left by protesters read, “Crores of rupees are made by making films, while those watching films are dying.”

The actor was not present at his residence during the incident. Police quickly intervened and arrested the eight individuals, who were later taken to Jubilee Hills Police Station for questioning.

Allu Arjun urges his fans not to resort to abusive behaviour

The attack on Arjun’s residence occurred just hours after the actor issued a public appeal to his fans, urging them to avoid using abusive language or engaging in inappropriate behavior. This statement came in response to the ongoing controversy surrounding the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his latest film. Read Arjun's statement here

Arjun had recently denied allegations from Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who claimed the actor had visited the theatre without police clearance. Arjun asserted that he had followed police directions during his appearance and dismissed accusations of organizing a roadshow.

The December 4 tragedy has sparked widespread criticism and legal action. Hyderabad police have filed cases against Arjun, his security team, and the management of the theatre based on complaints from the deceased woman’s family. The actor was arrested on December 13 but was granted interim bail the same day by the Telangana High Court.
