Actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya, who never formally disclosed their relationship, got engaged in an intimate ceremony today. Actor Nagarjuna, Chaitanya's father, announced the engagement and shared pictures from the ceremony.

Nagarjuna took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a heartfelt post for the couple. He wrote on social media, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."

Sobhita donned a gorgeous peach silk saree and decked up traditional gold jewellery. She also wore peach flowers in her hair. Meanwhile, Chay complemented her in an all-white outfit.

According to reports, the engagement ceremony was held at Nagarjuna's Hyderabad residence. As per Hindustan Times report, Dhulipala's parents were present at the engagement ceremony along with Nagarjuna's wife Amala Akkineni and Chaitanya's brother Akhil.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita reportedly started dating after he divorced Samantha Ruth Prabhu a few years ago. The couple’s viral pictures have fuelled rumours of their relationship. Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu first met in 2009 while working on the romantic drama ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’. In 2017, the couple tied the knot. In a joint statement released in 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya announced their divorce.

On the work front, Sobhita was last seen in Dev Patel starrer ‘Monkey Man’. She will be next seen in Vandana Kataria's ‘Sitara’. Meanwhile, Chaitanya will be seen in Chandoo Mondeti helmed film ‘Thandel’, also starring Sai Pallavi.
