Actor Jr NTR, who recently appeared in 'Devara: Part 1', has been promoting the film internationally. This marks his first release since SS Rajamouli’s global sensation 'RRR'. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Jr NTR was asked about his hopes for his children’s future.

Jr NTR expressed that while he wants his sons to make their own decisions, he acknowledges that, as an actor, his kids are naturally drawn to the same profession. Jr NTR is the grandson of actor-politician NT Rama Rao and the son of actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna.
When asked if he encourages his children to appreciate the arts, he told the Associated Press, “I just don’t want to rub it on them. I don’t want to. I definitely feel that kids today really need to have a mind of their own. They need to be exposed to something where they can decide what they want to do. I don’t want to be a hurdle saying you know what, do this do that…” Jr NTR is the father of 10-year-old Abhay and 6-year-old Bhargav.

He went on to say that his children have very different personalities but both show an interest in acting. “I have two boys coming out from the same mother’s womb but they are completely different. They are opposites. I mean, how the hell does that happen? That’s nature. I don’t want to put in any thoughts saying, ‘You know what, you have to be in arts, you have to do this,’ because my father and mother didn’t do that to me. They just let me explore, so I just want to do the same thing. I don’t want to force anything on them,” he explained.
Jr NTR acknowledged that his children are inclined towards acting because of their exposure to his profession. “They are exposed to my profession always. And I think this exposure is never going to leave them. They obviously want to become an actor one day because they are seeing an actor father. Whenever they see him on screen, they always want to be an actor,” he said.
He added, “Because that’s the exposure they are getting. But other than that, I really want to give them a lot of exposure for them to choose wisely. Finally, if at the end of the day, they want to become an actor, why not? I am here to guide you if you need it.”
'Devara' was released with high expectations. Despite its success at the box office, the film has received mixed reviews.
