Dulquer Salman Drops Hints About Being Part Of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone Film Kalki 2898 AD

New Delhi: Dulquer Salmaan starrer 'Guns and Gulaabs' recently dropped on Netflix. The RAj & DK directed web series also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead. Dulquer, who is also awaiting the release of his upcoming film 'King of Kotha' recently hinted at having a role in the much-anticipated science fiction film 'Kalki 2898 AD'. The film stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead and was directed by Nag Ashwin.

Recently, during an interaction with Telugu media as part of the promotional tour of 'King of Kotha', Dulquer was asked about his contribution to 'Project K'( working title of Kalki 2892 AD).

"I can’t reveal anything about Project K. I’ll just tell you, I went to the sets and was blown away (by its grandiose nature). Only Nagi (Nag Ashwin) can think like that. He’s a director who never fails to surprise. Be it Yevade Subramanyam or Mahanati (in which DQ also essayed a key role) and then he goes on to do Project K, which is set in the future. The sets were so amazing. But I don’t know if I am in the film or not,” Dulquer conveyed with laughter.

Nag Ashwin's fourth director 'Kalki 2898 AD' stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in key roles.

Announced under working title 'Project K', the Prabhas film's title 'Kalki' was announced in the grandest manner possible at the San Diego Comic-Con. 

During the SDCC, a promo was also unveiled that Kalki is a dystopian film set in the future. The film will have mythological elements with science fiction.

Meanwhile, In 'King of Kotha', Dulquer Salmaan will be seen along with Aishwarya Lekshmi. The film is said to be a period gangster film helmed by filmmaker Joshiy's son Abhilash Joshiy who will also be making a directorial debut with the movie.

'King of Kotha' will be released on August 24, 2023 as an Onam release.

On the other hand, 'Guns & Gulaabs' is a dark comedy series starring Gulshan Devaiah, Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav and others. The series also marks Dulquer Salmaan's web series debut.
