New Delhi: Following the phenomenal success of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, which broke many box office records and became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, fans have been anxiously anticipating news about the next installment. The second film's closing titles hinted at a third chapter, but formal announcements were not made—until now.

Ravi Shankar, producer of ‘Pushpa’, finally announced the long-awaited news at a recent event, stating that production is underway on 'Pushpa 3'. Guess what?  In about 2.5 years, production will start, with a projected release year of 2028.

Ravi Shankar confirmed, "Pushpa 3 is definitely on! Allu Arjun is presently doing two films with director Atlee Kumar and another one with Trivikram Srinivas. Pushpa 3 will be after these two films. He'll take at least two years to complete the two films. Meanwhile, director Sukumar too is doing a film with Ram Charan next, it'll take at least two years for him to wrap up the film and get back to writing Pushpa 3."

'Pushpa 3' Is Targeting a 2028 Release

Ravi Shankar reassured fans that the team is determined to move quickly and aim for a release in 2028, contrary to past delays. He said, "So the third instalment is likely to begin in two and a half years. We won't delay the things as it happened earlier but hopefully come back quickly in three years, so the film will arrive somewhere in 2028."
