ABP Rising Summit 2023: Khushboo Sundar Talks About Motivation & Having No Regrets In Life

The veteran actor spoke about her personal journey, politics, being a fan of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and more. The round was moderated by journalist Radhika Bajaj.
Khusbhoo Sundar, born Nakhat Khan, has been living in Chennai for over 40 years now. The veteran actor began her career as a child artist in 1980 in the Hindi film 'The Burning Train' and has never looked back. Having worked in several Hindi films and in over 100 Tamil films, she is still considered one of the industry's major icons.
She also happens to be the first actor to have a temple made for her. When moderator Radhika Bajaj addressed the question about Khushboo being aware of it, the actor lightly brushed away the topic adding that in the 90s, she did not pay much attention to the news and by the time the reality sunk in, it was quite late and she did not know how to react.
When asked about keeping motivated despite being in the industry for over 40+ years, Khushboo Sundar said, "I literally grew up in cinema, I know nothing else." She also added, "If there is a will, there is a way. If you keep complaining there is no time, you will find no time, but if there is a will, you will make time for it."
Khushboo Sundar also added that she sleeps early, her family calls her a zombie post 10:00 PM, wakes up early at 4:30 AM and all women do for their kids and family, make countless sacrifices and work through the night and day to work things out.
When moderator Radhika Bajaj asked if she would have done things differently now that the times and moral compasses have changed, the actor added 'naturally'
"We all go through that. We grow wiser." Recalling a time when at the age of 14, she had to play the role of a mother-wife when she was a kid herself, she added that responsibility and experience teaches one a lot.
Having said that, Khushboo Sundar added that she has no regrets because everything she did helped her learn something.
Throughout the day, 'The Southern Rising' Summit is set to witness personalities from various fields including politics and entertainment. The speakers are expected to share their views on the idea of a 'New India' and the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024.
Prominent politicians including IT Minister P Thiaga Rajan, Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin, Telangana MLC Kavitha and Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai are lined up to set the stage on fire. Prominent actors from the cine industry, including Rana Daggubati, Kushboo Sundar, Revathy, and Suhasini Maniratnam, will grace the stage.
