New Delhi: ‘Rowdy Baby’ is one of the most popular Tamil song from the movie ‘Maari 2’ staring Dhanush and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. ‘Maari 2’ is a sequel to the 2015 movie ‘Maari’ which starred Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, this song stars Dhanush and Sai Pallavi dancing to the beats of this record-breaking song. ‘Rowdy Baby’ becomes the first-ever South Indian song to reach 1 billion views. Dhanush could not hold back his excitement and took to his Twitter to share the news of ‘Rowdy Baby’ reaching 1 billion views. Dhanush’s tweet read, “What a sweet coincidence this is. Rowdy baby hits 1 billion views on same day of the 9th anniversary of Kolaveri di. We are honoured that this is the first South Indian song to reach 1 billion views. Our whole team thanks you from the heart”

Sai Pallavi, who was fantastic in the song also tweeted, “Thank you all for owning Rowdy baby 1 Billion love and counting”

The composer of the song Yuvan Shankar Raja tweeted, “It was a sweet surprise for me when I was notified by my fans, that the Rowdy Baby has created another milestone, & has reached billion views, Alhamdulillah. Thanking everyone on this..”

Tovino Thomas, who was seen playing a vita role in ‘Maari 2’ also tweeted, “#RowdyBaby crossed 1B YouTube views!! First South Indian song!!
