Sushant Singh Rajput Case: A Special Mumbai court is hearing the bail plea filed by actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty today - Thursday (September 10). The brother-sister duo was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly arranging drugs for late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The 'Dil Bechara' actor was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14. Though the Mumbai police claimed that the actor died by hanging himself from the ceiling, the family and relative of Sushant allege a criminal conspiracy. Sushant's father has accused late actor's live-in partner of cheating, using his money for personal expenses, and abetting of suicide.
Post several revelations, allegations and claims being made by sources, a team of CBI, ED and NCB launched a probe to bust various suspicious angles including the use of drugs linked with Sushant Singh's mysterious death.

Rhea Chakraborty Arrested: Bail Plea Hearing Today
- Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend and the key accused in the death probe of former as been accused of several charges including her alleged link in arranging drugs for Sushant.
- After hours of investigation earlier this week, the NCB arrested the 28-year-old actress on Tuesday (September 8) under various sections of the NDPS Act.
- Rhea has been charged with abetment in possession, sale, purchase, consumption, transportation of substances under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). This constitutes prima facie offences under Section 20(b)/22/27/28/29 of the NDPS as per the Crime Information Report of the NCB.
- After being arrested on Tuesday, the 'Jalebi' actress spent her night at NCB’s office in Mumbai.
- On Wednesday morning, Rhea was moved to Byculla Jail by Narcotics Control Bureau officials. The Byculla jail is the only prison for women inmates in Mumbai.
- After a magistrate court on Tuesday night rejected Rhea's bail plea, the actress moved to the special court and filed another bail plea.
- The 'Chehre' actress in her plea stated that she is innocent, and accused NCB of forcing her to make 'self-incriminatory confessions' in the case.
- The NCB sought judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty till September 21 in its remand application. The agency in its remand copy said that Rhea Chakraborty is an active member of drug syndicate and she used to procure drugs for late Sushant Singh Rajput.
- As of now, the court has send Rhea to judicial custody till September 22. If found guilty, Rhea Chakraborty will face jail term upto tens.
- Meanwhile, Rhea's brother Showik have been sent in judicial custody till September 23. The 24-year-old had confessed that Rhea asked him to procure drugs. He was arrested under IPC sections 20 (B), 28 (counterfeit), 29, and 27 (A).
