Ranveer Singh Photoshoot Case: Actor Tells Cops One Of His Photos Is Morphed
Ranveer in his statement, claimed that one of the images that is being deemed objectionable as his private parts can be seen, was not a part of the photoshoot and has been morphed.
New Delhi: Ranveer Singh has been facing the ire of many after the actor posted a series of pictures, posing nude for a magazine photoshoot. An FIR was also lodged against the actor for promoting obscenity through his pictures, that went viral on social media within no time.
As per the latest development in the case, the actor in his statement recorded at the Mumbai Police Station, claimed that one of the images that is being deemed objectionable as his private parts can be seen, was not a part of the photoshoot and has been morphed. ANI reported that Ranveer claimed the pictures as "tampered" and "morphed."
As per the ANI tweet, "Mumbai Police recorded the statement of actor Ranveer Singh in the nude photoshoot case on Aug 29. As per information accessed now, the actor in his statement has claimed that someone has tampered with and morphed one of the photos of the actor."

Ranveer's statement was recorded by the Mumbai Police on August 29 with regard to the nudity and obscenity case lodged against him. The actor was summoned to the police station after an activist and NGO worker Vedika Chaube lodged a complaint against him. He was booked under Indian Penal Code Section 292, 293, 509 and the IT Act, pertaining to the sale of obscene books, objects to young people, word, gesture or acts intended to insult modesty of a woman, and other related charges based on the NGO and Chaube's plea.
Ranveer's photos trended big time on social media, sparking controversies all over. While many activists and social workers rebuked the actor for promoting obscenity in public forum, several popular celebrities came out in support of the 'Ram Leela' actor. The photoshoot was done for a New York based magazine 'Paper'.
