Raju Srivastava Health Update: Shekhar Suman Says Comedian's Organs Functioning Normally

Comedian Raju Srivastava, who is undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, is stable now and his condition is slowly improving. 

New Delhi: Comedian Raju Srivastava, who is undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, is stable now and his condition is slowly improving. 

Actor Shekhar Suman informed fans that Raju is out of danger and even his organs are now functioning normally. Shekhar, who is in touch with Raju’s family, took to Twitter to give updates about the comedian’s health. He tweeted, “Today's update on Raju according to his family members..his organs are functioning normally.Though still unconscious,doctor says,he is supposedly improving steadily.Mahadev ki kripa.Har Har Mahadev (sic)."   

The 58-year-old comedian was admitted to the AIIMS after he suffered a heart attack on August 10. He underwent an angioplasty the same day and has been on a ventilator since then.   

Comedian Johnny Lever also met Raju Srivastava’s family on Saturday. He had flown down from Mumbai to offer his support to the family members of the comedian. 

Earlier on Thursday, Srivastava was trending on Twitter with many posts speculating about his health. Raju’s wife Shikha Srivastava requested the media and the fans to not spread rumours as it affects the family’s “morale”. 

“My sincere request is kindly do not spread rumours. It affects our morale. We do not want negative energy, we need positivity. Please pray for his speedy recovery and he will be back soon. Doctors are giving their best and Raju ji is supporting them, He is fighting. So, kindly do not spread negativity," she said. 

Raju’s brother Deep Srivastava also took to his official Facebook account and shared a health update about his brother's health through a 3-minute 4 seconds video and asked people to refrain from spreading rumours about his 'brother's death'. He called people 'shameless' for spreading such misleading information about Raju Srivastava's health. Deep also stated that most of the information which was circulating online and on social media platforms had no backing. These people, according to Deep had not spoken to Raju's family and were spreading misinformation by themselves with no truth or fact to support it. 

Raju Srivastav has carved a niche for himself in the world of stand-up comedy with his well-timed jokes and comic takes on some very relevant situations in life. He rose to fame with the first of its kind stand-up comedy talent hunt show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge', with its first season premiering in the year 2005    

He has appeared in Hindi films such as "Maine Pyar Kiya", "Baazigar", "Bombay to Goa" (remake) and "Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya". He was one of the contestants on "Bigg Boss" season three.
