Priyanka Chopra's Mother, Madhu Chopra Says She Hasn't Met Her Granddaughter Yet

Dr. Madhu Chopra, Priyanka's mom has yet to meet her granddaughter who was born in January this year.

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the birth of their first child through surrogacy on January 22. The pair did not reveal the baby's name or images.

People across the world have been excitedly expecting to see the first picture of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' surrogate daughter. Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra, on the other hand, has yet to meet the child. 

For the time being, Priyanka stay with Nick in Los Angeles and her mother is in India. Because of worries about the newborn's health and the predicament of Covid-19, Madhu Chopra says she hasn't seen her first granddaughter yet, but she wants to do so soon.

It was disclosed during a live interview with ETimes that Madhu hadn't seen her granddaughter but they do Facetime once in a while.

Madhu Chopra said,  "I haven't seen her. I am here and she is in LA. We do Facetime once in a while. I think she is happy and joyous. This is all I can say for now. But maybe when I go and meet her in the middle of the year, I will be able to answer this better. I am always hoping. Never say never. It's her country, she could come,"

Madhu Chopra expressed her joy in the interview, saying she has been anticipating this moment for a long time. She went on to say that becoming a grandma is an experience she can't describe and that she can't stop thinking about her grandchild.

She added, “It’s so joyful! I can’t tell you how my heart just goes. I think it’s something that I have been waiting for a very long time. It has happened now and I cannot conceal my happiness. I don’t even remember Priyanka and my son anymore. All I think about is the little one.”

The last time we saw Priyanka Chopra on the big screen, she starred in ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. She will next appear in ‘Jee Le Zaraa.’
